JRL Enterprises, Inc. ("JRL") respects your privacy. This Privacy and Security Policy is designed to accomplish four objectives:
JRL will never "mine" any personally identifiable information submitted by users to our site or information related to performance of specific students for any reason. JRL has never sold any such information to any third party, nor will we ever do so. We will continue to do everything in our power to protect the privacy of our users' and students' information. We collect only the information we need to provide accurate data for our users and improve the quality and usefulness of our services to our users.
We collect the name, address, e-mail address and other personal information on each of our users as part of the registration process. This enables our users to access our web site without repetitive data entry. Our web server also recognizes, logs, and reports information regarding the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer accessing the I CAN Learn® Online website. This information is used to communicate with our users about changes, new services, etc. In addition, we will aggregate personal information into demographic data about our users to enable JRL to provide the most relevant and valuable services to our user base.
We also keep records of e-mails and telephone calls (including, at times, recordings of calls) to our customer service center. We do this to make sure the problems and issues you bring to our attention are resolved promptly and correctly.
We do not use any personally identifying information other than for data aggregation purposes, nor do we sell such personally identifiable information to any third party.
The information we collect is used to improve the content of our web site, used to communicate with users in reference to inquiries and transactions which they initiated, and is not shared with other non-affiliated organizations for commercial purposes.
We have appropriate security measures in place on our servers and in our physical facilities and we make every effort to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from our users. The site has secure socket layer (SSL) encryption and it will not store credit card numbers. Information such as our customer’s name, address, card expiration month and year, last 4 digits of card, etc. is stored in the order information by the shopping cart application. The site is also secured and monitored in a data center so there is physical security plus network and operating system security.
Our web server records IP addresses, and this information is used by our software to analyze trends, administer the site, diagnose problems with our server, track site usage, and gather information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information, but can be used to identify the machine or service provider used to access our site. We do not use this information in any way except to investigate possible abuse or misuse of our web site.
Occasionally we may use cookies on our web site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive which contains identifying information about the user. These cookies do not contain any personal information or data, or any means to contact you, but only a record of web site usage. In general, cookies allow for a more personalized user experience.
If you wish to delete cookies from your computer, you can consult the operating instructions of your browser to do so. In some browsers, you can turn off cookies, preventing web sites from setting them on your computer. No user will be refused access to our network based on allowance of cookies.
